Restless leg syndrome is often a result of poor venous circulation. Don't confuse the two, if you have swelling of the ankles and feet, restless legs at night you don't have to suffer.

There have been many scientific studies linking RLS (Restless Leg Syndrome) and venous insufficiency. It makes sense that if waste products are not removed from the blood stream that these waste products would increase over time and cause unwanted side effects. It is very common for RLS patients to have more pain and discomfort following days when they were on their feet for extended periods of time.

If you suffer from RLS take a vein screening either on-line or in person. You will find that many of the signs are the same including mild swelling of the ankles, leg cramping at night, varicose veins, spider veins, leg swelling after traveling, pelvic pain, etc.

Patients who had moderate to severe RLS showed great improvement when they had treatment for venous insufficiency. It is possible to have multiple benefits from vein treatment including a better nights sleep and a more active lifestyle when awake.
